SPACE10 at Border Sessions, The Hague

About our talk:

Polina will be presenting a keynote called ‘Tasty Technology: How SPACE10 Embraces New Tech to Ensure a Delicious and Sustainable Food Future’. Since 2015, we’ve been looking into food—food that’s healthy and delicious, but also sustainable for both people and the planet. And although our projects have covered everything from 3D-printed meatballs to urban algae domes, they’ve all leveraged new technology to playfully bring tasty and sustainable food to the many people. Now that we’ve just released our first cookbook, Future Food Today—a collection of recipes that reflect our mission and values—Polina will speak about how SPACE10 has explored the connection between technology and food. Could AI, open-source architecture and other developments help fix our broken food system? We’ll dig into that question together during this session.

About Border Sessions:

Border Sessions is a 4-day event where you can explore an extensive programme with labs, summits, a festival night, movies, meetups, and a kids programme in the centre of The Hague. Expect genuine stories told by people on a mission, with more than 30 sessions hosted by artists, scientists, authors, designers, engineers, and many others. Specifically, there are 30 labs you can partake in, with topics ranging from the future of food to extreme space design; a variety of summits, where groups of 50 – 100 people explore a topic with presentations, panels, workshops and other work forms; and a festival night, where you can hear keynotes and then dance the night away. Alongside, there are meet ups, movies and a kids’ programme to explore.

We hope to see you there.
